Both are luxury vinyl flooring with the same benefits, such as waterproof capabilities, durability, low maintenance, and easy maintenance. Both are stylish enough for any room in the house, but the difference lies in their construction. Luxury vinyl plank refers to the vinyl being cut into strips and mounted on boards to mimic hardwood planks.
Luxury vinyl tile means the material is cut into square, tile-sized pieces that can be used with or without grout. By no means are you limited as to how you use a form. While each is mainly associated with certain materials, such as hardwood or tile, some use LVP for stone looks, while others use LVT for a wood look tile.
About luxury vinyl
If you have not seen it yet, run, don't walk into our flooring store! All images are original echoes of wood, stone, and tile, taken with high-definition photography and micro beveling and embossing to add depth, dimension, and textured looks. Although the waterproofing makes it ideal for wet areas like the kitchen and bath, the design makes it perfect for living and dining spaces, hallways, sun porches, and bedrooms.
Ultra-durable, this is five times thicker than original vinyl and is layered with a thick, top melamine coating that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. It also keeps spills from absorbing; a transparent urethane finish adds extra strength and shine. This vinyl is waterproof whether submerged or spilled on–a wipe dry, and it's good to go!
It's also low maintenance, requiring only regular sweeping and periodic mopping. Installation is a snap on the floating floor where pieces click together to mat and "float" over the subfloor without adhesives.
